This hat is on the dashboard of my Rav 4 rather than on my head. I was afraid it was too pretentious to wear. Might draw too much attention or something. Too self conscious.
I got it from the Love Serve Remember Remember Foundation that supports the late Ram Dass’s work in the world. I followed him from the early 60’s when he was Dr Richard Alpert at Harvard until his passing last year.
The notion of “Loving Everyone” seems rather high falootin’, naive and woo-wooey. Yet it is possible to love a Grizzly Bear without getting into the cage with it.
Boundaries, understanding and compassion make everyone lovable, almost.
I like the idea these days.
